Thunderdog Studios X Tribal DDB
DD Beast from THUNDERDOG STUDIOS on Vimeo.
Our Friend Triston Eaton along with his crew at Thunderdog Studios paint a sick mural to help celebrate Tribal DDB 10 yrs in business. Here is a press release from Thunderdog them selves.
The goal was to celebrate Tribal DDB's triumphant 10 years in business through allegory and metaphor. Paying homage to the late illustrator Frank Frazetta, I decided to anthropomorphize the accomplishments and abilities of the agency into a majestic, mythical beast ascending an ever-growing branch of time and challenge. A notch in the tree reveals 10 rings / years of growth.
The painting was executed on 49 square panels of birch formed into a grid reminiscent of the Tribal DDB logo. The imagery was created using wheat pasted paper, spray paint, acrylic paint and ink.
The three animals I’ve chosen to represent the core ideals that Tribal DDB embodies and aspires to are:
The Octopus:
Creator, Versatile, Resourceful
The Humming Bird:
Timeless Messenger, Optimistic, Adaptable
The Gazelle:
Free Spirit, Aware, Agile, Graceful
The poster serves as a crest to represent this mythical beast and its triumphant journey. The treatment of graphics are reminiscent of a timeless coat of arms used for shields in battle and for pride of legacy.
The poster is spray-painted through a laser cut stencil, allowing each poster to be unique with varying fields of color. Each poster features a legend explaining what our mythical beast represents as well as a field for individual numbering and artist signature.
- Tristan Eaton

Client: Tribal DDB
Agency: Thunderdog Studios

PON x Art Of the Hustle Trading Cards
Inspired by trading cards produced from the 1960’s through the 80’s, the set offers up some vintage-inspired flavor including chipboard card stock and the much-loved wax paper wrapper. Cards also come with interesting facts on the backs that you don’t want to miss.
The Art Hustle is a new frontier in Art and Trading Cards, and a hell of a lot of fun. Boxes are limited

To catch THE Predator
I came across this on youtube while looking up the Alien Vs Predator roommate videos. They are real funny but I actually laughed out loud with this video. I loved the people on To catch a predator and I always wondered how no one has killed Chris Hansenyet. I wanna start with this video and the other predator videos over the next week or so. Enjoy!

To date a prospect
So I feel like some silly shit happens at the Godlike compound. Most of the silly shit happens to our apprentice, we named him prospect. We have a few videos of things we do for him, so I thought I'd kick it off with his first video. We were trying to film a profile video 'cause we were gonna find him a date on a website. The end product was much to good. Enjoy "to date a prospect"

ArcAttack = Fucking sick!
A few hours ago, art/geek band Arc Attack performed on Americas Got Talent. They are so fucking awesome and unique. They perform music through "lighting" generated from 2 testla coils. ofcourse the song they performed was a total kiss ass move for Sharron, but it worked. If you saw the audition, they did a good rendition of the Imperial march(which originally won me over) but it was a little slow starting. Watch the video and see for your self, I promise you will be amazed. Also check out more of there videos on youtube, they do "geeky" songs but they make it awesome.

Giving props to Goto-San
For ever toy collector the origin of our favorite hobby comes from Kaiju toys. Even if your not a fan of Kaiju, you have to give them credit for being around decades before this whole Urban Vinyl/Designer Toy scene. They have even influenced mainstream media with things like Godzilla, and Ultraman. Take a look in the background of every episode of Roseanne there is a Godzilla toy just hanging around, and not to mention where do you think the idea for you childhood love the Power Rangers came from (don't hide I can see your pajamas from here). I personally love collecting Kaiju but always have been turned off by the price. This video puts it more into perspective for me. I can't imagine having to be this guy and spend 50 yrs doing what hes doing, I can barely stand the last 11 doing tribal tattoos lol. My hat goes off to Goto-San for all his work. I also just wanna point out how gangsta this dude is, I bet those paints have more lead in them then a fishing weight and he's not even wearing a mask (I wonder what color his lungs look).Soon I am gonna share some pictures of my favorite Kaiju toys I own. Thanks to the Beast Bros for sharing this video with me.

Force Unleashed 2......cant fucking wait!
Just when I thought I couldn't get more excited about a game another one comes out to top it. I absolutely loved Force Unleashed 1 and now 2 looks like its gonna be as good if not better (that's saying alot). The game play on one was awesome, you were able to interact with almost everything. The only down fall to the 1st game was that it was much to easy to beat and went by to fast, much like the God of War series. If they can improve upon that the game will be unstoppable. Also in the game a new character,
- Exclusive Character: Maulkiller - In the cloning facilities of Kamino, Darth Vader created a warrior of unparalleled strength and power by combining the genetic material of Darth Maul, former apprentice of Sith Lord Darth Sidious, with his own apprentice, Starkiller. The resulting aberrant clone possessed traits from both warriors, but the crude fusion of two disparate Force users quickly produced physical and mental instabilities that led to the unfortunate clone’s destruction. For a brief time he struck fear into the hearts of all who faced him, even Lord Vader himself.

Sket-one signing @ Kidrobot Ny
Godlike family and artist Sket One released his new toy (bacon madl) today at Kidrobots New York store. The toy was awesome and there was plenty of fans in attendance, as there always is at one of his signings. The crew at Kidrobot was awesome and always gives godlike the VIP treatment. After a little while I (Pon) jumped in at Skets request and started signing and doodling on what people had to give me. After the event we made our way to the usual spot around the corner, Bar 89 is an awesome place with great ambiance and even better food. If your ever in SOHO check it out at 89 Mercer. We highly recommend the wings.
